What is a balance table?

A balance table significantly reduce vibrations and disturbance whilst using highly sensitive laboratory balances, microscopes and other high-precision equipment. The tables are constructed out of shock-resistant materials such as granite, steel and rubber.

To read accurately, it is essential that analytical balances are used on a stable and vibration-free weighing platform, and are located away from draughts and strong sunlight. Kastner anti-vibration balance tables provide the perfect solution. A stable marble or granite slab 400 x 450mm is mounted on rubber anti-vibration mountings. The total weight of the table and granite worksurface is only 55kg.
